And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Philippians 4:19-20 (ESV)

Last week Henry Okumu completed the delivery of food to Boma, South Sudan for the children in Faith Learning Center. By the grace of God, several donors provided funds enabling us to supply one meal per day for our students throughout the next school term. To God be the glory and praise for funding the School Feeding Program.

UN Food Arrives in Boma

The famine in South Sudan continues to be the subject of numerous news reports and there is great fear that many thousands are in eminent danger of starvation. This is in large part due to the nearly year long conflicts which have kept farmers from planting their crops.  Henry recently reported some good news on this front as the UN, in cooperation with Joint Aid Management (JAM), has delivered a load of food to Lower Boma.  The bad news is that due to bureaucratic red tape, the distribution of this food is being delayed. Please pray that God would intervene in this situation so the families who are suffering from hunger would have some relief.

Well Repairs Not Completed
Unfortunately, the well drilling contractors scheduled to travel to Boma with Henry and the food were unable to go on this trip.  This was a disappointment
Please help us get this well operational once again

for us, but we recognize God’s timing is perfect and we trust Him for the completion of this task. (Prov. 3:5-6)

We so appreciate your gifts toward this project and look forward to having our wells back on line in the near future. Clean water is critical for our school children, staff and families in Upper Boma. Total cost of these repairs is $15,000 and through your generosity we have raised $10,000 toward this expense. If you feel led to give toward the final $5,000, please consider a gift online to get the water flowing once again. The current 10 mile round trip to fetch water is a hardship on everyone.

Each week I hear new stories of people praying and supporting the children of Faith Learning Center.  Just a few days ago we received several boxes of warm clothing from the families of Coram Deo Academy for our students in Boma. These will be delivered in the near future and will provide warmth and protection for our kids during upcoming rainy and cold season.

May God bless you as you serve Him.

President

PS. Continue to pray for God’s blessing and provision for the Murle People who are suffering greatly. A gift of any kind will help us provide clean water to an entire community in Upper Boma.
